Marissa
I adore the Morris family. It seems like every time I hang out with Dakeena, it's like hanging out with an old friend. We think a lot alike which... according to Andy... is dangerous.... Wha? No..... I'm sweet & innocent. Tee hee...
At any rate, this is my 2nd adventure with the Morris family. It's Marissa's Bat Mitzvah and I LOVE these celebrations. It's family. It's a rite of passage. It's a lot of fun and it's teenage girls having lots and lots of fun. Starting at the Temple Israel on Broad Street, I met them before the festivities began to do some portraits.
Silliness.... and you know I love silliness.
Dakeena did an AMAZING job with the decor! The theme was a night in New York with Marissa.
What's NY without a cab?
And shopping?
We did a few more portraits.... Love this dress!
My fave photo of the day!
Richard, Marissa's dad gave a wonderful speech. I learned a lot about Marissa.
This is Morgan, Marissa's sister. You might remember her from her Bat Mitzvah a couple years ago. WOW!!! Morgan is even more gorgeous now.
Marissa had fun watching her slide show.
Candle lighting is part of the evening. Marissa invites special people in her life to help her light the candles. She talks a little bit about each person and what they mean to her. I think she loves her sister a lot. :)
Marissa is a dancer and danced into the party. LOVED it!!!
I think Buckeye Sounds had the house rockin'!
Hora time!!!!
I am telling you, this was one serious dance party. There was no slowing this party down.
Congratulations Marissa!!! I'm so happy for you and so excited to see you becoming such a fabulous person! Thank you again for having me as your photographer!!!
