Henry and Carrie

It all started nine years ago....  Melissa and Steve got married.  Andy and I totally fell in love with this couple and their families.  Well...  Fast forward a few years and Melissa's little brother, Henry met a girl named Carrie.

They each went with mutual friends to the Bonefish Grill for what turned out to be a really happy hour.  Fast forward a little more and it's Henry and Carrie's wedding day.  We started at the hotel capturing the ladies getting ready.  I think I have make-up brush envy.
Doesn't Carrie's dress look all heavenly?!
 The detail was dreamy, too.
Hmmmm....  Can you tell who Carrie's on the phone with?  I love that her face lights up when she hears Henry's voice.
We left the hotel and headed around the corner to St. Matthew's.  Once the ladies were dressed, it was time to get to super-modeling.  :)

 Our handsome groom.
Now...  You've gotta love this facial expression!!  It is pure happiness!

I love this part.  In the Phillipino tradition, there are coins given to the groom which he in turn gives the church.  Then, a veil is placed around the couples' shoulders and finally a cord ties them together.  It's a lot of symbolism and being a sucker for that kind of thing...  I love it.
Occasionally, I wish I could read minds.  This photo is one of those times. Although, it doesn't take much to know Henry's a pretty happy guy.

We sent everyone else on their way while we traveled to Creekside for just a few photos.  Let's face it.  That area makes for some pretty pictures.

 My fave...
 DUH!!!  Shoes!!!!
I love the look on people's faces when I say...  "How about a garage photo?"  It's just not most people's idea of a pretty photograph but c'mon....  This is cool!
How many times have I said I like "ornery"?  A million, probably.  But here we are again with a very fun and ornery bridal party.  There was some crazy posing, a lot of laughing and a whole lot of picking on one groomsman in particular.  Can you guess which one?
Isn't Jefferson Country Club a beautiful venue?!

Once Henry and Carrie were introduced into the reception, Henry gave a little speech to thank their guests.  They look so very very happy.

Now...  God knows that wedding cake is a wonderful part of every wedding but seriously....  this groom's cake is Ri-donk-u-lous!!!!  I have cake envy.  :)

 A forehead kiss?  Yes, please....

Now...  God knows I am a softy but every now and then, I have been known to shed a tear.  Well, I lost a few during their dance.  Henry is the baby of the family and the only boy so it was definitely a moment to remember.
It was so good to see Henry's family again, too.   JP and Eileen...
 Melissa and Steve...

Carries' nephew was absolutely adorable and kind of reminded me of Austin when he was that age.
And clearly...  his aunt is smitten with him.
As much as we didn't want the night to end...  it always does....

I am so happy for Henry and Carrie.  It was wonderful to see old friends and make new ones.  It's hard to believe I first met Henry's family so long ago but I am soooo very grateful I did.   I'm so grateful to have been a part of this special day and best wishes to the happy couple!!!!
