On June 27the, Morgan had her Bat Mitzvah. It's a very big celebration in the Jewish faith when a child turns 13. You probably remember Morgan from her amazing photo shoot at Creekside not too long ago. Well. The big day finally arrived.
She did a great job holding the Torah even though it was VERY heavy.
Reading the Torah.... I didn't get to stay for the service (no photos allowed) but her mom tells me her Hebrew is fantastic!
Just darn cute!
Now it's time for the party. Her mom did a beyond fabulous job planning this event!!! Little Turtle Country Club was transformed into "Morgan's beach". It was quite impressive! Thanks so much to Kim at LTCC for all her hard work! I don't think she stopped moving all night!
Here's Morgan with her sister, Marissa. Yup. I think their dad is in for some big trouble when these girls start dating. Pretty sure the fellas will be lining up.
Morgan lit 14 candles with 14 different people or groups of people in her life. She said a few words about everyone and why they are important to her. Oh yeah. Those of you that know me, I did shed a few tears. I can't help myself. She did a great job talking in front of everyone!
After the candle ceremony, our family was officially announced. How freaking cool is this?!!! Ms. M was carried into the party on her very own surfboard!!! She's a ROCK STAR!!!
This party was so impressive. 13 years olds dancing with parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents. No age group was immune to the fun. Here's Morgan's parents starting the night off right.
Buckeye Sounds provided the entertainment for the evening. They had a dj, an emcee (the gentleman in the middle) and two dancers. I'm telling you.... The emcee did an incredibly good job!
I know that there were some tired people by the end of the night because there was so much fun to be had! Morris family---you rock!!! Morgan, you are a great young woman and I'm really grateful you let me be a part of your special day! See you for senior pictures!
