Jenny and Diego

First off, Jenny has those freckles that I adore and she works at the Art Museum so I am jealous of her freckles and her cool job.  She has great hair and a smile that just says "Hi.  Wanna be friends?"  Diego?  Well he's handsome, sweet and I noticed that he's very attentive to Jenny.  He has an adorable accent and he's a good dancer.  Yup...  Every woman has good reason to be jealous of Jenny.  :)  But not jealous in a snarky, mean girl kind of way.  Jealous as in "Sighhhhhhh....  Isn't she lucky?"  kind of way.  Only...  we all know it isn't luck.  We know life is good for her because she's a nice person and she deserves it.

So...  On Jenny's birthday (how cool is that?), we planned our first engagement session at her place of employment, the museum.  Their baby girl Layla is part of the family so of course, she got a photo, too.
I don't know if you know this or not but our museum just underwent some pretty intense renovations.  That means that delicate artworks have to be moved to safety.  How on earth do you move something like this?
Ask Jenny.  She was personally in charge of taking this Chihuly glass apart and then...  putting it back together.  I believe it involved a lot of numbering and photographs.  I laugh at myself when I think of how I'd do that.  Numbered.  Color coordinated.  Named.  (Hey Andy, can you had me the swoopy flame?  No. No.  The other  swoopy flame.  Now I need the blue dipsy doodle thingy.   Surely, it would have been ridiculous.) But, of course, Jenny was a pro!

I digress...  After putting so much work into that one piece of art, we HAD to have a photo and I adore it.  The way her hair is falling around her face, the sweet smile and Diego's shy confidence.  Love it.

At the time, the exhibit was "Love and War".  A painting featured was one I've loved for a long time.  It's a Norman Rockwell and I'm sure you can guess why I love it.
It's called "Morning After the Wedding (The Chambermaids)" and although we aren't to the morning after yet...  We're warming up nicely.  :)

I mentioned Diego is a good dancer, right?  Well.  I failed to mention that he's a dance instructor so he is really an amazing dancer.  I know zero about real dancing but...  um....  Hello sexy dance moves, y'all!

I think I tore my hamstring just looking at the photos.

A little more sweetness at the museum and it was time to call it a day.  It was a sprinkly wet day....  Hmmm... You don't seem surprised....  thanks to the bajillion sprinkly wet days we have had thus far.  I didn't want them to miss out on sunshine so we opted to take more photos at a later...  sunnier date.

So...  When the sun came out, we chilled at the Park of Roses with Layla again.  Family snuggles!
Don't look, Layla.  Daddy's kissing Mommy again.

Their wedding is coming up in a little over a month and I cannot wait.  I'm thinking there'll be some epic dancing!  Not to worry, I'll share it all!  Have a fantastic day and a very safe 4th of July weekend.  And for you friends of Jenny...  I was told you check out the blog with her and I'm glad you're here.  Don't be shy.  You can post comments below.  Otherwise...  I feel like I'm talking to myself.  :)

Love it! Glad you could find some sunny weather - everyone deserves a little roll in the grass. And it's definitely time to get stretched out for big days of dancing ahead!

We got rained out twice so Jenny totally deserved the sunshine!

You are so right: Jenny definitely earned that gorgeous karma by being one of the nicest people on Earth. So nice to see her enjoying the museum, not just working in it. Loves!

Thanks for a great story!! Yes, Jenny and Diego are lucky and devoted to each other. They have worked hard for this time and you have captured them (and of course Layla) perfectly. Being Jenny's mom, my heart swelled to hear someone else's praise and insight. Can't wait to meet you at the wedding!!!!
