This past couple of weeks has been incredibly busy here at Casa Keidela. First, was the vow renewal. Then we went right into Easter week. Since I was joining my church officially on Easter eve, it was a very busy week.
Last Monday night was had rehearsal for the ceremony. Tuesday night was Aidan's soccer. With all the rain we've gotten, it was a muddy mess. And Aidan being all boy... dove right in and had himself a little mudfest.
Wednesday night was Devin's soccer. Not as messy so no photos. :)
Thursday night was a church service.
Friday night was Steff & Todd's wedding.
Saturday morning... was a wonderful retreat for me. I spent time holding still (a rarity) and allowing myself to listen to nothing but peace & quiet (even rarer). If you ask Andy, he'll tell you my head buzzes nearly all the time because there's so much going on up there. He swears I give off an actual hum that's so loud it keeps him awake some nights. At any rate, it was a beautiful & spiritual time and I am so grateful for it. It made me want to carve out time for it on a regular basis. While I "retreated" Andy & the kids were off playing soccer and from what I hear.... My kids were rock stars!
Well. I bet you're wondering when we had time for eggs. We did manage to squeeze in egg coloring... on Saturday afternoon. Nothing like waiting to the last minute. I think we did a pretty good job.
BEFORE
AFTER
I think I liked this egg the best. Although.... Andy's soccer ball egg was pretty clever.
Say a little prayer that we find the last wayward egg. We only found 24 that the bunny hid. I had convinced myself that we found them all but looking at the pictures... There are definitely 25 eggs. Yikes. Let's hope we find the last one before things get ugly---and stinky.
And... I put the last round of effort on my little project... Okay... It's not so little of a project and when I get the final touches done, I will share the big picture with you. I'm excited for that. :)
So... All in all, life is hectic but we are definitely blessed. The family is stronger than ever. I can't share what my mom said to me last night because it's pretty personal but I'll definitely say that it made me fell like I'm on the right path both in life and with my family. I'm hoping you feel blessed, loved & on the right path as well.
