Vow Renewal... part 1
So... The renewal was perfect. We laughed. We cried. We celebrated. Life is good.
But... since I go to so many weddings, I thought I'd share the little things. Since we had less than 20 people there, I wanted to make something personal. Right now, I'm kind of obsessed with fabric flowers so... that's what we made. My mom, Kate & Brooke helped me and we had lots of fun doing it together.
I'll give you a quick idea of how we did it but if you want serious instruction, contact me. I'll give you the instructions I "somewhat" followed. I started with fabric strips about 3" x 9". We folded them in 1/2 and sewed along the fold. Then we pulled the thread to ruffle it.
For the guys boutonnieres, we used one piece of fabric, wrapped it up into a circle and sewed buttons in the middle. We used two of these. For the ladies, we used 2-3 strips of fabric. We curled it around itself and tacked it at the bottom as we went.
I do think the ladies turned out much better. It was just a little thing but we had a lot of fun with it. I have a few left. Say the word and they're yours.
