It's the little things.....
You want to know if you're truly loved? Stop & look around. My husband is a quiet guy; he's kind of shy until he really knows you but he is so good at making me feel loved. He scrapes the snow off my mom's car. He puts her car in the garage after he leaves from work so she won't have to walk in the rain. He gets the kids soccer gear together. He makes dinner. He does laundry. He carries my camera bags and this morning, he made me coffee.
If you know me, you know I loooooove coffee. Andy leaves for work early, usually before I've come out of my coma/sleep. Every now & then, I'll wake up to a pot already brewed. It's a special little treat.
The last few days, I've been a little preoccupied. There's a lot on the proverbial plate right now: lots of work to do, we're planning an auction for my mom and of course, there are 6 people here with a lot going on. And... the vow renewal is Saturday . All kinds of day to day stuff that has to happen in between then & now. And in the midst of all that, I decided it was a good idea to once again reach out to someone I love in hopes of trying to heal that relationship. Well. I waited several days and my reaching out was greeted with no response at all... And this morning, there was a big old pot of love waiting on the kitchen counter.
To Andy: I needed that, honey. Thank you! I love you for all the little things you do. I love you for having my back. I love your loyalty & protection. I love you for being a great dad, husband & son-in-law. I'm so blessed to have you as my husband. The last 12 years have been a blessing and I know the next 12+ years will have a lot of great things in store! XOXO
