If you want a love message to be heard, it has got to be sent out.  ~ Mother Teresa

Relationships can be complicated.  It's really easy to think you're the best of friends when you're sharing chocolate & coffee but it's what happens when trouble comes in that you know what your relationship is really made of.

In an argument, there aren't many warm fuzzies flying around.  There's disappointment and hurt and even anger.  Can you weather that?  Can you humble yourself enough to admit your mistakes?  Can you recognize that when speaking with disappointment & hurt, the love messages you thought you sent may have been overshadowed by negativity on both sides?  Did you reach out to the other person or did you wait for them to reach out to you?  Did you demand from them things you weren't willing to do yourself?  Do you get that there are some mistakes you can never take back?  Did you risk rejection & put out an olive branch?

I'm a firm believer that the only way an argument can end is if all parties ask themselves the above questions & give very honest answers.  I like resolution.  I want to put the last piece of the puzzle in and look at the whole picture.  I want to understand my mistakes.  I want to learn from them...  especially if those mistakes made you feel less than loved.  I want the other party to recognize their mistakes for the same reason.  I'm a firm believer than in a good relationship, you fix the problems so they don't happen again.  I'm not a sweep it under the rug kind of gal---although I used to be.  That lump in the rug might as well be an elephant in the room because you're sure to bump into it again.

I bet you're wondering about the Hail Mary pass at this point...  Did it work out?  Did it not?  Honestly, I have absolutely no idea.  All I know for sure is that I'm hanging up my helmet.

Peace out!  Enjoy the upcoming beauty weather and never fear....  photos are coming soon!!!  Here's a sneak peek at my last wedding.
