Identity Crisis....

Ok. Something that has totally been nagging me..... Branding. It was the total buzz word at WPPI. I've been thinking about it ever since. Couple that with the naggin "need to make a change" feeling and I've got a full blown identity crisis.

What is the "dk" identity/brand?

This business is all me. I catch myself saying "we" a lot when talking to people. Sometimes I think I'm referring to Andy as the other part of "we". But sometimes, I think of it like me and my business are a "we". With that in mind.... how does it relate to my business and my brand?

I don't think it's any secret that I'm a pretty outgoing person. I can strike up a conversation with just about anyone and truly think I connect with people. I think that's been one of the big reasons I've done so well. This is a business of relationships both on camera and behind it. What else am I?

Fun. Creative. Occasionally dorky (more often than I'd like to admit). Passionate about photography. Photoshop geeky. I think I'm basically a low maintenance girl who likes a little flourish too. Not too flashy. With all that in mind.... Does my logo fit? Does my website fit? Does my blog fit?

I want all of these things to blend well. I want the pieces to fit together seamlessly. And I guess I'm just not sure if I'm doing it right. So I'm asking all of you. Comment below please (for those of you receiving this via email, go to the blog and post a comment there). Let's get a really good dialogue going. I'm asking all of you because your opinions mean a lot to me.

Also.... If you haven't noticed, we now have a stat counter on the blog. Unfortunately, it doesn't count those of you who read this via email but... let's get that counter to go WAY up. If you enjoy this blog, share it! Thanks!

Donna - I think everything goes together perfectly. What your logo, blog, and website all say to me is simple elegance. Beautiful, tasteful, yet modern. It is like a beautifully wrapped package that you can't wait to open. -- Lauren
