I have to tell you. Amy did everything I would have done if I'd had a winter wedding: pale blue dresses, snowflakes everywhere and beautiful blue hydrangeas with stephanotis in the bride's bouquet. It was so beautiful. We started out at St. Joseph's cathedral. I love the photos we get there. This time, I snagged a favorite detail photo. The chalice.

Details are nice but we were there for a wedding. Amy looked so happy and her dress looked like it floated as she walked.

How beautiful is this bouquet?!!!! And the dress?!

If you've been to the cathedral before, you may have noticed the iron gates. I'm a sucker for unusual architecture so I've always wanted to do a photo using those gates but I was never able to make it happen---until now. Amy was sitting in this little room waiting for her big walk down the aisle. It was a perfect moment. I'll be adding it to the website very soon.

After the ceremony, Andy snagged this great photo Amy and Matt. I'm really proud of him. You see, he totally got sucked into being a photographer by marrying me. He thought it would be fun to go to nice parties and watch the wifey work. Little did he know I'd throw a camera in his hand and put him to work. It's nice to see it's working for him. ; )

So. Our fun bridal party hopped into the Hummer and headed off to the shoe and to the VC for a few photos and a little holiday cheer. Although, it looks like they are raising their glasses to me (aw shucks), I'm pretty sure they are toasting our happy couple. If you've been in the VC, you know that I was probably only about 4 feet from the bridal party so thank heaven for my lovely new toy---the fisheye lens. Love the rounded look and the ability to get all those pretty people in the photo.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I LOVE LOVE LOVE photographing the first dance. Look at those smiles. Don't they look so happy? (PS> Do you like the selenium tone? I love the feel it gives this image.)

And.... You know I love sparkly things.....

Amy and Matt, thank you very much for letting me be there on your special day. Andy and I had a great time and we wish you both a very long and happy marriage. See you soon!
