Ok. I LOVE shoes. Wanna know why? Because no matter how much weight I gain, I never feel guilty about my shoe size. I think that is the key to women's fascination with shoes. Anyway. Amber & Ben had an awesome wedding. It was held at the Darby House which is one of my favorite places to work. The staff there is amazing. They take of everything and usually before you know you need it done.
We had some beautiful photos of Amber and Ben by themselves (remember Ben's rock star photo?) The photo of them by the tree is dramatic and stylish. Check Ben's shoes!!! SWEET! The photo of them laughing and getting ready to kiss is an absolute favorite.
Later in the evening, everyone got into dancing and I was doing my thing, snapping photos, looking for interesting things when I saw them. I was so tempted to steal them but my good girl nature prevailed and I photographed them instead. Rhinestone dragonflies. I have shoe envy. They belong to Amber's mom, Nikki, and she got quite a kick out of the fact that her shoes made the final cut on Amber and Ben's dvd. I just love those shoes.
And... I want you all to keep a secret from Andy. I have a crush on Ben's grandpa. Look at his twinkly blue eyes and his sweet smile. Just watching him smile made me feel happy. Sadly, he has been afflicted with Alzheimer's. In his honor, Ben and Amber made donations to the Alzheimer's association and to the Central Ohio Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society in lieu of favors at their wedding. As we enter the holiday season, I encourage you to write a check to one of these deserving characters. I'll be sending mine.
And.... it looks like we finally have some fall weather. Enjoy it. Act like a kid. Go play in the leaves!dk
