Clearly, the last couple of months have been very hectic for me. I had 9 weddings in 7 weeks. So... I've broken my own rule. Typically, I do everything in the order it was photographed. But... With that many weddings, I ended up going out of order. So.... I'm trying to get everything caught up. If I have a few more productive days like yesterday, I'll be back on track in no time.

At any rate, Lisa and Joe got married on September 8th. This day was packed full of emotion. Happy tears, giggles, and grins. We had it all. Unfortunately, we also had a little rain. After the rain, it was so steamy that my lens totally fogged up. I like what it did to their car photo, though. Check it out.
Lisa has this HUGE smile. She just glowed with happiness. Joe. He's got a pretty big grin too but he has this look where you can just tell he's thinking a loving thought. I don't know how to describe it. Look at the photo from their first dance. He was looking at his mom while dancing with his wife. I just think his look says volumes about his feelings.
As I have gotten more "mature", I've really begun to notice the parents. Maybe it's because I have a daughter now or because my dad is gone but the father/daughter stuff is killing me lately. I posted the photo of her dad seeing her in her dress for the first time because I can only imagine what he's thinking. I remember his words. "Aren't you too young for this?" Speaking of words, Mr. Eagle gave an amazing toast. He talked about when he was young. His family had a black and white tv and he remembers watching the Wizard of Oz on it. Then... he got to watch it on his grandparents color tv. Remember in the movie? Everything is black and white and then Dorothy opens the door to this incredibly colorful world. He likened a wedding day to that moment of the movie. Lisa and Joe are opening the door to their colorful new world together. I thought that was quite the metaphor!!!
At any rate, it was a great day. Thank you Joe and Lisa for letting me be a part of it. Thanks to Mindy (Lisa's mom) for her lovely note. I would be thrilled to be at every Eagle wedding! One down--four to go!
