Amanda and Joe

Amanda and Joe

In all honesty, I've had this blog post open for about four hours.  Usually, I'm not at a loss for words.  Usually, it's hard to get me to shut up.  But today...  I am suffering from writer's block.  Ugh...  Maybe the headache I have is doing it.  Maybe it's the rainy weather.  Maybe it's the to do list that's bouncing around inside my head.  Whatever the reason, I'm struggling to write.  I'm struggling to write while I have fun engagement photos to share with you.

So...  what's a photo chick/blogger to do?  Well...  In the immortal words of Nike...  Just do it.

Last Saturday morning, the sun was shining.  The weather was warm.  I drove up to Delaware all by myself.  Instead of blasting the music, I let it be quiet.  It was a very peaceful start to my day.  I was headed to Delaware for Amanda and Joe's engagement session.  Since Amanda and Joe went to college at Ohio Wesleyan, it seemed the perfect place for their engagement photos.  Let's face it.  There's just something about a college campus in the fall.  Don't you agree?!

First off...  How cute are they?!!  I know.  Right.  Adorable.

I have to tease Joe a bit.  He kept sneaking peeks at the camera like he wondered if I was watching.  Um... Yup.  I was watching.  :)

 Love giggle pics!

I love Amanda's eyes.  Apparently, so does Joe.  He said that's what he first noticed about her.

A change of clothes and a change of location.

We had to wrap it up so they could get to their cake tasting at The Suisse Shop.  Hmmm...  I think cake sounds kind of good right now.  At any rate, we had all kinds of fun and I'm so glad we got great weather.  Amanda drove from Wisconsin for this so she earned perfect weather, I think.

Jacquie and Jeff

Jacquie and Jeff

Usually, I tell you a story and then show you the photos that go with it.  This time is a little different.  Enjoy a few photos first...  Then, we'll chat.

I wish the story that went with these was that I had the privilege of photographing the actual moment that Jeff asked Jacquie to be his bride.  Instead, it's the next best thing.  These photos are part of their engagement session.  Since we were going to the area where it really happened, they thought it would be fun to re-enact it.  Oh yeah!!  That was fun!!!  Look at her face as she looks at the ring.  Priceless!

I think this couple is super sweet.  I love how this session helped me get to know them.  I think it's a very sweet relationship.
This is one of those things that guys do that just makes my heart happy.  It's gentle & sweet and it makes this girl feel very mushy.
They drink coffee and do crosswords together.

They are planners.  They've made this list of things to do & places to visit in the future.  LOVE it!

I think Jacquie is a little bit shy.  Several times, I caught her dropping her chin and looking up at the camera.  It's beautiful, I think.

 They also enjoy golfing.
That's their score card in front...  Ummm....  It's killing me not to write the obvious cheesy joke but I'll save you all from it.  Besides...  You just thought of it anyway.  HA!!
2012 is the big year for them.  It will be a fab wedding and I can't wait!!!  So excited they chose me!

Henry and Carrie

Our original date turned out to be a little too rainy.  Our rain date turned out to be steaming hot but we were not deterred.  German Village welcomed us with hot & open arms.  We started out at Schiller Park.  We chased the shade all around the park.

Funny story.  We walk up to the umbrella girl fountain and this guy is sitting there strumming his guitar.  God bless him, he was willing to be in their photos.  He played a very sweet song and even sang while we took these photos.  These happy, random moments are part of why I love my job so much!

 I LOVE this photo.

They look so relaxed, don't they?!  Carrie's a champ.  That ledge was not very comfortable, I know.
 LOVE!  LOVE!  LOVE!!!

Let's hope they paid it forward by having a super hot engagement session and their August wedding date will be mild and lovely.  I'll keep you posted!
