Nate and Claire

Fridays are one of my favorite days of the week because I know I'll get to talk to Laura on her day off. We talk at other times too but Friday chats are usually pretty relaxed. As most of you already know. Laura is my best friend and cousin-in-law but most importantly, she's my sister of the heart. Last Friday was a huge treat because we didn't just chat, we got together. We took a picture or two of her adorable kids. I just love them so much I want to squeeze 'em!

Spending time with Laura always boosts my mood. Thanks for the visit, Lolo!

Jack

I photographed Connor. Then Payton. Now Jack. He's number three for Holly and Patrick. Their kids are all so stinking cute! All three have big brown eyes and long eyelashes. Oh. What would I give to have those lashes?!!!!

Anyway. These are from Jack's 3 month session. He wasn't super smiley but I just love his sweet wittle face----and, of course, his toes! Enjoy!

See what I mean about the eyes. Huge! Gorgeous! Poor Jack was having a little trouble staying up on the pillow. He kept sliding down. But... It led to this sweet "peek-a-boo"-ish image. I think it's my fave from the session!I love his curly hair!

Claire

I've waited and I've waited. I talked to Laura's belly asking nicely for her to come out and play with me. I offered bribes of candy. And she finally arrived! Claire Diane Bailey was born last Sunday morning. Claire's middle name comes from her amazing Aunt Diane. The whole family is doing well.
Tell me if you can relate. Having a little girl after a little boy is just plain old shocking. You are used to trucks and footballs and everything blue then all of a sudden things "soften". Pink is everywhere and you think about dolls and barbies and all kinds of sweet things. And Clothes even at this age become a BIG deal. ; )
Anyway. Here is a beautiful little sweety to look at. PLEASE leave comments that I can share with her parents. If you haven't heard (I've said it a million times) Laura is my best friend and sister of my heart. Her hubby Jay is one of my favorite cousins!!! I just love them both so much and I couldn't be happier that they've got a sweet baby girl to love. I told Aidan he had to teach Nate how to be a big brother! That got a HUGE grin out of the little guy.

A Happy Big Brother.

I took Miss Devin to the hospital because she loves babies. She wasn't so sure at first but I swear Claire smiled at her.

Best wishes to Laura, Jay, Nate and Claire. Bailey Family----you rock!

Rori Watt

Last week, my friend Amy brought her youngest, Rori, in for her 9 month photos. Amy and I used to work together at "another" studio. She was all of 18 at the time. She was still in high school. And. Unlike a lot of teens, she really looked even younger than she was. It doesn't seem like that long ago, a group of us went to Put-In-Bay for Halloween. Amy came along and brought a friend to keep her company since she knew she wouldn't be able to join us for evening activities at many of the local "establishments". Since she wasn't able to join us, I was a bit Mother Hen-ish checking on her. I think people on the island thought I was her mom. Ok. They probably really thought "Aw. That poor girl has a degenerate mom."

Anyway, fast forward 11 or 12 years (I think). She's married and has 3 kids. Amy is great at getting photos of her children regularly. She's done all 3 at 3,6, 9 and 12 months old. Then we do photos for each birthday. It's really impressive to me since I don't even photograph my own kids that regularly. Just ask my mom. She's constantly complaining about not having enough photos of her grandkids.

It started with Jen and Travis. Then Jen's brother Fred and his marriage to Rachel. Rachel and Fred got married in his parent's back yard. There is something very special about a wedding at home. I actually hope one of my kids want to get married here someday. Anyway, his parent's worked really hard to make the yard look gorgeous. They installed a paver patio just for the day. I can only imagine what they think of every time they go out to enjoy their patio. At any rate, it was a great day and I am always excited when a family of two becomes a bit bigger. Little Aubriana (don't kill me Rach, if my spelling stinks) came to me last week for what I hope will be the first of many visits. Fred and Rachel chuckled at me when I was all nice for a minute and then with much impatience I instructed them to get that sweet baby out of her carseat so I could "get my hands on her"!!!!! Her big blue eyes just kill me! According to Rachel, she wasn't as smiley as usual but I think she looks just fantastic and has to save some big grins for another visit with me. ; )

On a Roll.

I am so proud of myself. 4 blogs in 4 days. Sweet! Speaking of sweet. How about Audrey?
She has the best thighs! I told her mom, Courtney, that I wanted to bite them. Thank goodness she laughed. I thought about it later and realized there are some people that wouldn't find that funny. Glad she did. I loved seeing Audrey's expressions. She had big smiles, little smiles, a surprised look and some serious faces. She's so sweet. She was so sweet, she ALMOST made me think 4 kids is a good idea. That is a total job hazard for me. I see these adorable babies and remember how much I loved that time with my own kids. It generally kicks baby fever into gear. However, turning 40 this year has really cooled the fever.

At any rate, I really enjoyed my time with Audry and Courtney yesterday. We talked about doing a family photo and I'm really looking forward to that idea. I think I need some new family photos on the new website. So, if you know anyone in need of an updated family photo, tell them to call. I'll be running a family special in May. I'm not entirely sure what it will be yet but... I'll keep you posted here. Have a great day. It's a little rainy but at least it seems to be getting warmer. Summer's coming. I can't wait!
