Vow Renewal

Now that blogger is no longer all wonky, I can finally post more photos.  So....  Here we go....

St. Brigid was the location for our ceremony.

Austin gave a valiant effort in pinning Andy's boutonniere but...
we had to call in the expert, Kate.
My jewelry.  The ring was my dad's class ring.  Since he is no longer with us, I wanted a piece of him with me.  As for the jewelry...  I love a little sparkle.  Don't you?
 Gettin' ready
These are the map cards I made.  I traced an actual map and added the text and the compass.
Sweet little Dev!  She's not much for dresses so this day was quite a special one.

Like I said...  not much for dresses.  I believe this look is the "Mom, do I have to?" look.  But isn't she a beauty?  She did have fun getting her nails painted and a smidgen of makeup.   We had a slumber party at Auntie Kate's house and Miss D got to hang with the girls.  It was a great night!

 My boys!!!
Now...  Where Devin fussed about dressing up.  Angel boy, here, was all for it.  According to Andy, he checked himself in the mirror and said "I look sophisticated".  Adorable!

This is the blessing of our rings.

According to Andy, I was beaming.
Okay...  he might be right.  I am just so much in love with my husband and family.  Can't help it.  :)

 Family...

How good do these people look?!  I'd love to hear your comments on the colors.  We were SO lucky the way things worked out.  Andy loves orange.  He insisted on it, actually.  Now...  what do you do with orange?  Well....  we found the dresses at Target for under $50.  It was flattering and yes...  you could wear it again.  Brooke has already worn hers and it's only been a month.  So...  A nice victory, I think.

The guys were just as easy.  Khaki pants and white shirts from Kohl's.  The blazers were on clearance at JCPenney.  Again, $50.  The ties came from Stein Mart.  It was all very reasonably priced.  Honestly, the most expensive thing was my dress.  If you're curious, it was from David's Bridal.  I got it on sale, too.
Now...  if you know Andy, you know he has a silly side.  I think these photos really show it.
This is our whole wedding.  Left to right:  Doug & Deanna (my sister), my mom, Brad & Brooke, Ryan & Kate, Devin, Andy, Aidan, me, James & Jennifer (a niece), The Berkes family (Luci, Kimberly, Jack & Jeff) and Austin.  Jeff was the best man at our first wedding too.
 Handsome Austin.
 The ornery ones.
 The more ornery ones....  :)
 AWWWWWW...  I love this one.

Don't look.  Mom & Dad are kissing.  EW!

 My very, very handsome husband.
I got my flowers from Bloomtastic.  Didn't Heather do a wonderful job?  Can you see the tulips hiding among the roses?  Tulips were our flowers the first time.
Oh yeah!  Perfect description of me.  :)
 We went to Jeni's.

 Look how pretty Brooke is!!!!
 I love these two!!!

Place cards...  I made our invitations, rsvp's, maps, place cards and menu cards.  They all have the orange/blue color scheme and I used a tree on nearly everything.  Why a tree?  Well...  Good question...  Family tree?  All the trees in our yard?  The fact that we're outdoorsy people?  I honestly don't know why but it looks good.  :)

Our "first dance"....  second time around.
Props to Kate for giving me fabulous hair & make-up.  She totally took care of me.
 Toasts!

Thanks to Katie at The Cake Studio for a gorgeous and beyond tasty cake!  It was her signature flavor:  French Vanilla & Milk Chocolate cakes filled with fresh raspberries & chocolate ganache.    The icing was Meringue Buttercream.  Honestly, the best tasting cake.  And gorgeous!!!  i loved its simplicity.  And what do you think of my orange cake stand?  $8 at TJ Maxx.  Yay me!

I have to thank my friend Roland Millington for snapping these photos for us.  With very little notice, he really came through for us.  Very sweet of him to do and Julie Hedrick from Blue Skies Video joined us well with an INCREDIBLE video!!!  I'm so blessed to have such wonderful friends in the wedding industry.

All in all...  it was an amazing day!  I was so grateful to renew my vows to such a wonderful, supportive & loving man.  I am really blessed to have him in my life.  We have gotten so close lately and I can't imagine m life without him.  We actually enjoyed it so much, Andy wants to do it again on our 25th anniversary.  :)  If we do...  it'll be a BIG party so stay in touch so you can be on the guest list.  :)

Have a great day....
